Del Amo Motorsports was founded in 1985. We were located at 1512 Aviation Blvd in Redondo Beach CA, in a store that was only 6000ft,  but,  considered large for a motorcycle dealership. When we opened our doors in 1985, Suzuki was the only brand of motorcycles that we carried. We were at the right time to be a Suzuki Dealership for the GSX-R was released. With the success of the GSX-R we were able to expand  and in 1987 we added Kawasaki. By 1990 Kawasaki had released it’s famous ZX line and once again we were able to grow our sales and expand with another line. In 1990 we added Yamaha to our growing store. In 1990 with Wayne Rainey winning the first of his 3 GP500 title’s and the FZR 600,750 and 1000. Yamaha had established itself as a major player.

Once again we were able to expand and added Sea –Doo Personal Watercraft. Being so close to the ocean, this was a logical decision. With sales growing and a loyal base of customers in motorcycle crazy Southern California business was good. Another smart move was about to happen. In 1993 we became a Ducati  franchise, and in just one short year the legendary 916 would be released. 

By 2002 we had to move, we had out grown our building. We moved to our current location at 2500 Marine Ave in Redondo Beach CA  into a  25,000 sq ft building.

We then added another piece to the puzzle. In 2002 we added KTM to our family.

KTM will introduce the  950 Adventure and presents 990 Duke. Within a short time we had to expand our building and increased it size again to 35,000 sq ft. 

As we  start 2010 we are once again expanding by increasing our Parts and Accessories dept to 10,000 sq ft. Once this project is complete in April of 2010, Del Amo Motorsports will be 45,000 sq ft.

In 25 years we have gone from a single line franchise to one of the largest dealerships in the nation and we have you, our customers to thank. We look forward to being your one stop shop for another 25 years.
