The SV-7GXV is a capable and affordable addition to Suzuki’s motorcycle lineup, designed to deliver crossover-class versatility to a wider range of riders. Built on the trusted V-twin–powered SV650 platform, it retains the distinctive performance and character that have made the SV series a favorite. Drawing inspiration from the adventure-ready V-Strom 650XT and sport-capable GSX-S1000GX, the SV-7GXV blends sportbike agility, touring comfort, and advanced rider aids into a slim, approachable package that is designed to appeal to riders with varying experience levels.
Engine Features
The SV-7GXV’s 645 cm³ liquid-cooled 90° DOHC V-twin engine arrives with over 25 years of proven performance which delivers smooth, seamless power through a broad, linear torque curve.
Transmission Features
The multi-plate clutch has precise push rod actuation of the pressure plate for a light pull and consistent release point.
Chassis Features
The SV-7GXV’s lightweight tubular steel trellis frame delivers balanced rigidity, a low center of gravity, and slim proportions for agile, predictable handling.
Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) Features
The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) provides the rider with a choice of three different engine power output modes. All three modes deliver maximum engine output but provide different throttle response and torque characteristics when accelerating.
Electrical Features
The SV-7GXV’s dual-function LED projector headlight incorporates what is known as aerial light distribution, a specialized beam pattern designed to help improve rider visibility in certain cornering situations. As the bike leans into a turn, the beam shifts to project onto the road.
Body & Styling Features
The new upper cowl’s adjustable windscreen offers three height settings, with a total adjustment range of approximately 2.0 in. (50 mm), so riders can select a height to help reduce helmet buffeting or other airflow to the rider or passenger.
